Bun gasit!

Este realizata folosind tehnica C2C - "corner to corner".

Materiale:

  • Fir: 55% bumbac, 45% poliacril (50 gr ~ 160 m) - Jeans - by Yarn Art si Cotton Gold - by Alize)

  • Croset: 3,5 mm (USA = E/4)

  • Foarfec si ac de cusut

Abrevieri (U.S. terms):

  • st(s) – ochi(uri)

  • chs – ochiuri de lant

  • SC - piciorus scurt

  • DC – piciorus dublu

  • sl-st - piciorus alunecat

  • ch-sp - lant de ochiuri

  • yo - jeteu

  • up - de jos in sus

  • down - de sus in jos

Dimensiuni: 142 cm x 122 cm (56” x 48”)

Greutate: 1031 grams (36.4 oz)

Mostra: 26 sts = 10 cm (4 inches )

Nr. blocuri: 103 x 92

Rnd1(up) = 1A

Rnd 2 (down) = 2A, 2B

Rnd3 (up) = 3A, 3B, 3C si tot asa.

E gata primul bloc (blocul1A). Intoarceti lucrul.

Intoarceti lucrul.

Intoarceti lucrul.

Randurile se lucreaza pe diagonala.

In acest mod continuati lucrul, schimband nuantele in conformitate cu diagrama.

Exemplu:

Rnd 19: Il veti lucra de jos in sus.

Rnd 20: Il veti lucra de sus in jos.

Rnd 19 (up): 19 blocuri = 4 alb; 5 negru; 10 alb

In acest rand veti lucra, de jos in sus, un umar total de 19 blocuri dupa cum urmeaza: 4 blocuri cu alb, 5 blocuri cu negru, 10 blocuri cu alb.

Rnd 20 (down): 20 blocuri = 9 alb; 2 negru; 3 albastru; 2 negru; 4 alb

Cam asa arata DUMBO Afghan - paturica mea, finalizata.

Hello!

DUMBO Afghan is made using the corner to corner pattern (C2C = blocks of Ch 3 + 3 DC). You just have to follow the color changes of the graph or the row by row word chart, whichever you prefer to use.

Materials:

  • Yarn: 55% cotton, 45% Polyacrylic (50 gr ~ 160 m)

  • Crochet hook: 3,5 mm (E/4)

  • Scissors and tapestry needle

Stitches and abbreviations (U.S. terms):

  • sts – stitch(es)

  • chs – chain stitch

  • SC - single crochet

  • DC – double crochet

  • sl-st - slip stitch

  • ch-sp - chain space

  • yo - yarn over

Size: 142 cm x 122 cm (56” x 48”)

Weight: 1031 grams (36.4 oz)

Gauge: 26 sts = 10 cm (4 inches )

Blocks: 103 x 92

When making C2C afghans I usually start from the bottom right corner. I will explain you how I start first rows. I noted with A, B, C, D, E, F the blocks and you have below a small chart, that you can see the order in which you have to work. This will be:

Row 1(up) = 1A

Row 2 (down) = 2A, 2B

Row 3 (up) = 3A, 3B, 3C and so on.

Odd rows will be worked from bottom to top, noted on the chart with “(up)” or “(>>)”

Even rows will be worked from top to bottom, noted on the chart with “(down)” or “(<<)”

On the colors chart, yarn colors are noted as follows: W - white; B - blue; P - pink; BK - black.

Row 1 (up): With white, ch 6, then make a DC in the 4th ch from the hook and in the next 2 chs. First block is made (block 1A). Turn.

Row 2 (down): Ch 6, DC in the 4th ch from the hook and in the next 2 chs (2A). Make a sl-st in the ch3-sp on the previous row, ch3, 3DC (2B).Turn.

Row 3 (up): Ch 6, DC in the 4th ch from the hook and in the next 2 chs (3A). Sl-st in the ch3-sp on the previous row, ch3, 3DC (3B). In the next ch3-sp on the previous row, ch3, 3DC (3C). Turn.

Row 4 (down): Ch 6, DC in the 4th ch from the hook and in the next 2 chs (4A). Sl-st in the ch3-sp on the previous row, ch3, 3DC (4B). In the next ch3-sp on the previous row, ch3, 3DC (4C). In the next ch3-sp on the previous row, ch3, 3DC (4D)Turn.

You will work your rows diagonally.

Continue working the pattern, changing colors according to the chart.

Row 19: You will work from the bottom to top. You will make first 4 blocks with white (4W), change color with black and work 5 blocks (5BK), change color again with white and work the rest of the 10 blocks (10W).

Row 20: You will work from the top to bottom. You will make first 9 blocks with white (9W), change color with black and work 2 blocks (2BK), change color with blue and work 3 blocks (3B), change color with black and work 2 blocks (2BK), change color again with white and work the rest of the 4 blocks (4W).

Decreasing:

- at the beginning of the row - work 3 sl-st across first 3DC, sl-st in the next ch3-sp, ch3, 3DC.

- at the end of the row - work sl-st in the last space, then turn.

Row 92: When you rick to the bottom of the row, at the end of it you will begin decreasing this left side of the afghan.

Row 103: When you rick to the top of the row, at the end of it you will begin decreasing the top side of the afghan.

Changing colors on afghans can be tricky. I used one ball of yarn for each color at a time. Where I had to put a smaller amount of a color, I made several small balls.

This pattern also comes with a Row by Row Word Chart, which shows you the working direction (up/down), the total number of blocks from that row (19 blocks/20 blocks) and how many blocks from each color you have to work.

Row 19 (up): 19 blocks = 4 white; 5 black; 10 white

On this row you will work, from the bottom to top, a total number of 19 blocks as follows: 4 blocks in white, 5 blocks in black, 10 blocks in white.

Row 20 (down): 20 blocks = 9 white; 2 black; 3 blue; 2 black; 4 white

On this row you will work, from the top to bottom, a total number of 20 blocks as follows: 9 blocks in white, 2 blocks in black, 3 blocks in blue, 2 blocks in black, 4 blocks in white.

The explanations in this pattern give you all the information you need to make the afghan.

Read them as if you were reading a book, row by row, from left to right.

Here is my finished DUMBO Afghan.
